CAN YOU SEE A NOTARY VIA ZOOM,SKYPE, WHATSAPP OR FACETIME IN THE UK 

Yes you can see a notary in the England and Wales via an online video platform and you can get most documents notarised this way although there are few exceptions.

HOW TO GET A DOCUMENT NOTARISED ONLINE DURING CORONAVIRUS/COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS

If you are physically located in England and Wales, you will need to find a notary in England and Wales who is up to date with the current guidance regarding remote notarisation and is willing to see you sign the document over a video call. I am happy to see if I can help so please just get in touch. 

You will also need to have access to a video call platform. You cannot get a document notarised in the UK over a standard phone call or via email.  

For the purpose of seeing a notary remotely any video calling platform will work fine such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp, Skype, Facetime or similar. 

WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF GETTING A DOCUMENT NOTARISED VIA VIDEO CALL BY A NOTARY COMPARED WITH A VISIT TO THEIR OFFICE. 

Notarisation via online video call may work out slightly more expensive than physically visiting your local notary due to the extra work involved in complying with the regulations on remote notarisation, redrafting documents to record the method of notarisation used and liaising with foreign advisors to ensure as far as possible that documents notarised in this way will be acceptable for their intended purpose in the foreign country.
